Now You Can E-cycle Every Day!
Fairfax County’s “Electric Sunday” events have become one of the most eagerly anticipated events on the recycling calendar, with tens of thousands of our residents bringing us millions of pounds of old electronic equipment to be recycled. As items like computers, televisions, gaming systems and other “e-waste” have become a bigger part of our waste stream, the need to safely and securely recycle this special type of waste has also grown.
In response to this growing demand, beginning on July 1, 2014, Fairfax County residents will be able to e-cycle old electronics every day of the week at both the I-95 Landfill Complex and the I-66 Transfer Station. There is no cost for this service; however residents may be asked to show proof of residency. This service is intended for Fairfax County residents only; no business waste will be accepted.
